We strive to create and maintain educational partnerships

Partnerships that will ultimately have a sustainable impact on improving the health and care of children in resource-limited settings.

Our Programs

Partners for Pediatric Progress is a project of the Global Health Program at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. We are committed to supporting our global partners by training local health care workers and medical school faculty members. These individuals can in turn train the next generation of local physicians and nurses, highlighting our commitment to building local capacity and to making a sustainable impact in these settings. The program also supports international physicians and nurses from our partner sites to train at UCLA.

Complementing the above, medical students and residents at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA have opportunities to train with our global health partners, providing rich educational experiences and a priceless dose of perspective about health care disparities.

Mozambique

We are fortunate to have exceptional partnerships.

Our partners and supporters join us in our vision to create sustainable impact where it is needed the most. In addition to having the support from our UCLA Health community, and partner countries, we’ve been very proud to be recognized by the Centers for Disease Control in Mozambique, and to receive support from the United States Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), with funding from the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).

We’re also grateful to the leadership of the Mattel Children’s Hospital at UCLA, and the Departments of Pediatrics, Internal Medicine and Surgery for their ongoing support of our partnerships.
